About RMIT's strategy: https://www.rmit.edu.au/about/our-strategy

In 1998, the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training invited RMIT University Australia to open a university in Ho Chi Minh City. RMIT was given this honour because of its long-established education and research collaboration since 1992. As a result, the university was awarded the investment license in 2000, making RMIT the first fully-foreign University in Vietnam.

RMIT Vietnam has a world-class reputation for excellence in higher education, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Business, Communication, Design, Technology and Languages. It is Australia's largest university campus overseas and the country's most significant service investment in Vietnam. RMIT has been committed to supporting Vietnam's economic priorities since its inception. However, RMIT's success as an international university operating in Vietnam is best measured by its positive impact over the past 20 years on graduates, local communities, and the country.
